The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office Welcomes New Auxiliary Deputies

Palmyra, Va. - Today, eight volunteers from the Fluvanna Sheriff’s Office were sworn in as auxiliary deputies for the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office. The public ceremony took place at the Fluvanna County Circuit Courthouse in Palmyra. The graduates are volunteers from the Sheriff’s Office Volunteers in Police Service (VIPS) program.

Volunteers from the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office VIPS program have successfully completed 14 weeks of training for the Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary Deputy Program. Upon graduation, auxiliary deputies are required to complete a 120 hour field training program.

Fluvanna County Sheriff Eric B. Hess said, “We are happy to have the opportunity to enhance our existing Auxiliary Deputy program with new volunteers, who have a wide range of talents and skills”.

The 2015 Graduates of the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office Auxiliary Program are:
